Additional Notes

Explore Three Historic Countries in One Connected Journey

The 25-Day Turkey, Greece & Egypt Tour brings together three of the Mediterranean's most influential civilizations within one carefully coordinated itinerary. Instead of arranging separate vacations, travelers move smoothly from Turkey's archaeological heritage to the Greek islands and mainland before continuing to Egypt's ancient monuments and the Nile Valley.

Discover Iconic Historical Landmarks

The itinerary includes many of the region's best-known cultural and archaeological sites. Guided visits feature Hagia Sophia, the Blue Mosque, Topkapi Palace, Gallipoli, Ancient Troy, Pergamon, Ephesus, Pamukkale, the Acropolis, the Grand Egyptian Museum, the Pyramids of Giza, the Great Sphinx, Philae Temple, Kom Ombo Temple, Edfu Temple, Karnak Temple, Luxor Temple, the Valley of the Kings, and the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut. Several locations visited throughout the journey are recognized as UNESCO World Heritage Sites.

Experience History, Islands & the Nile

The itinerary combines a wide variety of travel experiences without focusing on a single destination or travel style. Travelers explore archaeological cities, Ottoman and Byzantine heritage, First World War memorials, thermal landscapes, Mediterranean islands, classical Greek monuments, traditional bazaars, and the ancient temples of Upper Egypt. Ferry crossings between Greece's islands and a three-night Nile River Cruise add different perspectives to the overall journey.

Enjoy Well-Coordinated Travel Between Destinations

Travel across Turkey, Greece, and Egypt is organized through a combination of domestic flights, an international flight between Athens and Cairo, scheduled ferry crossings, private transfers, and guided sightseeing transportation. The itinerary follows a logical route that connects each destination efficiently while reducing unnecessary backtracking and allowing more time for sightseeing.

Balance Guided Sightseeing with Independent Exploration

Professionally guided excursions introduce the major historical landmarks and archaeological sites included in the itinerary, while multiple leisure periods provide flexibility for independent exploration. Free time in Istanbul, Rhodes, Heraklion, Santorini, Mykonos, Athens, and Cairo allows travelers to enjoy local neighborhoods, cafés, shopping areas, and cultural experiences at their own pace.

  • Carry clothing that covers shoulders and knees when visiting active religious sites such as the Blue Mosque and the House of the Virgin Mary.
